Abstract

The Qur’anic discourse is a discourse which is full of (values), and there is no doubt that it leaves an impact on building the value system, and the present research poses a problem that it is trying to answer, and the problem is summarized by asking the following question: (Can the Qur’an be understood in the light of the value system?), and since the answer was It may be (yes), and it may be (no), as the research assumed the first possibility, that is to say, the positive case(yes), and it tried hard to prove this hypothesis in this research, on two levels, one of them: the Theoretical level for understanding the Qur’an: we see this matter when a singular word or a compound (text), and it contains several aspects, one of which is: looking at (values), so we build that whoever adopts this aspect was the basis of his understanding (a value basis), and the second: the level (applied) for understanding the Qur’an: We see this matter in Qur’anic texts, which have several aspects, and some commentators have chosen some aspects. On the basis of value - even if it is possible - and we conclude this research that (the value system) is the basis for identifying and filtering options (understanding the Qur'an).
