Hilla city had witnessed an enormous rise of literature since its establishment and its flame had continued for many centuries. The Arabic poetry was enjoying exuberance, diversity and creativeness and represented an artistic phenomena and overwhelming attribute of the cultural life in general.
The positive result of the literary rise was the dynamic movement of
Arabic poetry, its activeness and the diversity of its subjects to move from the old to the updated and to the modernized.
One of the most prominent poetic arts was (Al-Ikhwaniyat / Brotherhoods) poetry which represented a clear literary theme and prominent artistic phenomena in the late centuries in general and in the poetry of Hilla at the same period in special.
This research comes to shed a light on the composition of poetry of Hilla poets and their poetic lines in the art of (Al-Ikhwaniyat / Brotherhoods) poetry as a try to determine its early starts and magnitude, to what extend it was popular among the poets, the events and occasions which urged the poets to organize this type of poetry. Moreover
