Abstract:
The Ascetic Sayyid Radhay Al-Dean Mohammed Al-Aftasee Al-Awee
was a descendant of Al-Hassan Al-Aftass the grandson of Imam Sajjad
(peace be upon him) from Awa town of Qum city. He was a scholar and
honorable sayyid (progeny of Prophet Mohammad) and lived in the seventh
century of hijra, and he was in a close relationship with sayyed Ibin
Tawoos. His prestigious character and grand status between his contemporaries
is still hidden in the hallways of the unknown and isolation for the
contemporary researchers. Time did not leave any trace or publication to
regenerate his fame or to shed light on his name.
Starting from here, the researcher buckled up to collect what was narrated
of attractive and unique supplications by this figure who represented
the example of asceticism and devoutness. Most of these invocations were
cited and quoted directly from him by sayyed Ibin Tawoos included his
book. All these supplications where organized in this paper as the only left
trace by him which had been accurately investigated and corrected, and
was accompanied with a life history of the narrator using a comprehensive
and documented approach without any boring elaboration. Eventually,
it is presented with more humbleness and adorning to our scholars,
researchers and lovers of our original religious culture.
